Our Blue Texel pedigree flock was established in 2006 with the emphasis on good conformation and tight skins with the correct markings. Rams are used in the commercial flock at Tynybryn, and sold to commercial and pedigree breeders, producing fat lambs with grades of E's, U's, and R's so much in demand by today's buyers. We intend to keep our flock small and to be very selective with our breeding, always concentrating on quality. All sheep are fully registered with the Blue Texel Sheep Society. Whatmore Woodpecker A tremendous Ram Lamb with a great skin and back end. The Blue Texel breed record was smashed at Carlisle on Saturday when Powys breeders, Steve and Sara Gibbons secured the top price of 5,500gns. Their home bred lamb ram, Whatmore Woodpecker, carries a wealth of show breeding in his pedigree. His mother, Whatmore Tonic, was supreme champion at the Royal Welsh Show 2012 and her sire, Whatmore Siren was supreme champion Royal Welsh Show this year. Woodpecker, a son of the Jonsland ram JOJ/07/4701N, was purchased by Tynybryn Farms of Newtown to join their Jonsland flock Jonsland Will-I-Am

We bought two powerful Shearling ewes from Beili Blues production sale at Carlisle on 30th August 2013. BBD12-00550 was the female champion at this year’s Royal Welsh Show 2013. She is a classy ewe by Jonsland Dan who was Champion as a Ram Lamb at the Royal Welsh in 2007 and was later purchased by the Millside Flock.
